WHERE THE LOVE BEGAN
Long before House of Shellon had a name, there was a love for hair.
A love rooted in the beauty of Black textured hair—the coils, curls, locs, strands, patterns, textures, and possibilities that make every crown uniquely its own.
For me, that love began early.
Hair was never simply something to be “done.” It was something to be understood, respected, cared for, and celebrated.
I learned that our hair can tell a story. It can carry culture. It can mark seasons of our lives. It can be transformed, protected, nurtured, and worn with pride.
And somewhere along the way, I realized that caring for someone’s hair is also an act of caring for the person wearing it.
That belief became the foundation of House of Shellon.
We don’t believe in rushing through a crown. We believe in taking the time to understand it.
We don’t believe every crown should be treated the same. We believe in individualized care based on the needs of the hair, the condition of the crown, and the Guest who wears it.
We don’t simply create styles.
We care for crowns.
With patience.
With intention.
With knowledge.
With love.
Because the hair we work with is not an accessory to us.
It is part of the person.
And that is why, at House of Shellon, the crown is honored before it is ever touched.
